Day 01 :

Addis Ababa

Arrival in Addis Ababa, the political and cultural heart of Ethiopia. After airport pickup, check in to your hotel and begin a city tour.

Visit the National Museum of Ethiopia, home to the famous fossil “Lucy,” and explore Holy Trinity Cathedral, one of the most important religious sites in the country. Later, drive to Mount Entoto for panoramic views over the city.

Day 02 :

Bahir Dar

Fly or to Bahir Dar, a beautiful lakeside city located on the shores of Lake Tana, the source of the Blue Nile.

Take a boat excursion across the lake to visit ancient island monasteries known for their centuries-old religious paintings and manuscripts. In the afternoon, visit the spectacular Blue Nile Falls.

Day 03 :

Gonder

Drive to the historic royal city of Gonder, often referred to as the “Camelot of Africa.”

Visit the famous Fasil Ghebbi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site containing several castles built by Ethiopian emperors in the 17th century. Later, explore the beautifully painted Debre Berhan Selassie Church.

Debark

Drive to Debark, the gateway to the magnificent Simien Mountains National Park.

Drive to Hawzien, located in the dramatic Gheralta Mountains region.

This area is famous for its spectacular rock-hewn churches perched on cliffs and mountain tops. Enjoy scenic hiking and visit some of the remarkable churches carved directly into rock.

Wukro

Travel to Wukro, another region rich in ancient rock churches.

Visit the famous Wukro Chirkos Church, known for its unique architecture and historical importance.

Ahmed Ila

Drive to Ahmed Ila, the main gateway to the Danakil Depression, one of the hottest and lowest places on Earth.

Prepare for the adventure into the desert landscapes of Afar.

Erta Ale

Drive deeper into the Danakil Depression toward Erta Ale, one of the few volcanoes in the world with a permanent lava lake.

Mekelle

Return to Mekelle, the capital of the Tigray region.
